Plagiarism Policy
Every manuscript submitted to the Journal of Education, Social Sciences, and Human Development (JESSHD) is screened using plagiarism detection software before entering the peer-review process. Authors are responsible for ensuring that their work is entirely original and that all sources are properly acknowledged through appropriate citation and referencing in accordance with APA 7th Edition. This policy is consistent with the journal's publication ethics and author guidelines regarding originality and similarity checking.

Maximum Similarity Index
Measured using Turnitin or other internationally recognized plagiarism detection software.
Similarity Assessment
- All manuscripts are screened before the peer-review process.
- The acceptable maximum similarity index is 20%.
- The similarity assessment excludes properly quoted text, references, bibliography, and commonly used methodological phrases where applicable.
- A similarity score does not automatically indicate plagiarism; editors also evaluate the context and source of matched text.
Editorial Actions
- Manuscripts with a similarity index above the journal threshold may be returned to the authors for revision.
- Manuscripts containing extensive unattributed copied material may be rejected without peer review.
- If plagiarism is identified after publication, the journal may issue corrections, retractions, or other editorial actions in accordance with publication ethics.
- Cases involving plagiarism, duplicate publication, fabricated data, or other forms of research misconduct are handled according to the journal's ethical standards.
Author Responsibility
Authors must ensure that manuscripts submitted to JESSHD are original, have not been published elsewhere, are not under consideration by another journal, and properly acknowledge all sources used. Authors are fully responsible for the originality of their work and any ethical consequences arising from plagiarism or other forms of academic misconduct.Submit Original Research
