Author Guidelines
Please read these guidelines carefully before submitting your manuscript to the Journal of Education, Social Sciences, and Human Development (JESSHD). Compliance with these instructions will facilitate the editorial and peer-review process.
JESSHD publishes original research articles, review papers, and theoretical studies in the fields of education, social sciences, and human development. All submissions must be written in English and prepared according to the APA Style, 7th Edition. Authors are encouraged to use reference management software such as Mendeley, Zotero, or EndNote to ensure citation consistency.

Manuscript Format

  • Language: English.
  • Paper size: A4 (21 × 29.7 cm).
  • Font: Times New Roman, 12 pt.
  • Line spacing: 1.0.
  • Margins: 2.5 cm on all sides.
  • Length: 5,000–8,000 words (including references).
  • All pages must be numbered consecutively.

Manuscript Structure

The manuscript should be organized using the following sections:

  1. Title (maximum 20 words)
  2. Author(s) and Affiliation(s)
  3. Abstract (150–250 words)
  4. Keywords (3–5 keywords)
  5. Introduction
  6. Literature Review (optional)
  7. Method
  8. Results
  9. Discussion
  10. Conclusion
  11. Acknowledgements (optional)
  12. References

APA 7th Edition Citation Style

All citations and references must follow the latest APA Style (7th Edition).

Citation Type Example
One author (Smith, 2023)
Narrative citation Smith (2023) stated that...
Two authors (Smith & Jones, 2024)
Three or more authors (Nuriman et al., 2025)
Direct quotation (Smith, 2023, p. 45)

Reference Requirements

  • Minimum 25 references.
  • At least 80% should be peer-reviewed journal articles.
  • Prefer references published within the last 10 years, except seminal works.
  • Arrange references alphabetically.
  • Include DOI in URL format whenever available.
  • Only include references cited in the manuscript.
  • Use hanging indentation.

Tables and Figures

  • Number tables and figures consecutively.
  • Provide concise titles.
  • Every table and figure must be cited in the text.
  • Images should have a minimum resolution of 300 dpi.

Authors are strongly encouraged to prepare their manuscripts using the official JESSHD manuscript template before submission. The template already includes the required heading styles, font settings, section order, tables, figures, references, and APA formatting.
